WoW Enchanting – Giving your Gear the Stats you want

Enchanting is considered to be one of the most useful and most difficult to level up professions. This profession has many useful aspects to offer to any player who chooses to level it. With Enchanting you can enhance the pieces of your gear with greater stats which will contribute to the overall output of your spells and abilities and will make your character’s performance maximized. Disenchanting

When you choose Enchanting as one of your primary professions you will also get the ability to disenchant items. Any uncommon, rare and epic item you don’t need, even if it is SB (soulbound) you will be able to disenchant into valuable essences, shards or dust. The items you will get with disenchanting are used for enchanting other items and are also quite valuable, which means that you can sell them on the Auction House and make a nice profit.

Gear is constantly being changed. During the levelling you will change many sets of gear as well as when you get to level 80. You will constantly need to improve your gear in order to be able to perform well in the new Raids and Dungeons. Any item that you wore will become useless once you get a new and better one, and all you can do is sell it to the vendor for a small amount of gold. By disenchanting the item instead, you will be able to collect valuable items that will enable you to use it for enchanting of your new gear.

Enchanting assets

Main use of Enchanting is to improve the statistics of your items. However, specific benefits you will gain are definitely the ring enchants. You will be able to enchant your own rings to wear the desired statistics depending on your class’ needs and only the Enchanter will be able to have his rings enchanted. Caster classes, both dps and healers receive a great boost through these enchants and many players pick up Enchanting solely because of this unique ability.

What does an Enchanter need for his work?

Every Enchanter will need a trainer to learn the new skills from. Enchanting trainers can be found in all the major cities around Azeroth as well as in Outland and Northrend. The next requirement for the Enchanter to be able to perform the skill is the appropriate Enchanting Rod. At certain skill levels as he improves, the Enchanter will need to acquire the improved Enchanting Rod as well. Enchanters can make those rods by themselves, although they will need to acquire the appropriate Fel Iron, Arcanite, Titanium, Adamantite or some other type of rod from a Blacksmith player.

How to get the mats

Main source of materials for an Enchanter is his disenchanting skill. Still, in order to come in the possession of the required uncommon or rare items, a player will need to farm a lot or to buy these items from the AH. Naturally, this process is very time-consuming and costly. Enchanters will do best if they pair up Enchanting with some crafting primary profession, like Tailoring. Tailoring requires a lot of cloth for crafting the final products. However, cloth is very easy to farm, making the combination of these two professions an ideal solution.

Can Enchanting bring profit?

Enchanting will easily bring you a lot of profit, simply by offering your skills for sale or by selling products of disenchanting. If you decide to offer your skills for sale, you will get opportunity to charge more for your work if you have higher level enchants available. As for disenchanting the items, it will be fairly easy since most players need shards, essences and dust for their own enchants. • New app promises wireless sync for iPhone — if Apple approves it (Ben Patterson)
Ben Patterson - Zune users have been able to sync their music and videos over Wi-Fi for years now — not so for patrons of the iPhone or iPod Touch, which can only sync up files via USB tethering. That said, an enterprising developer is looking to change the game when it comes to wireless iPhone and/or iPod Touch syncing ... if Apple will let him, that is. […]
  • BlackBerry's new Pearl 3G goes old-school with 14-button keypad (Ben Patterson)
Ben Patterson - What's the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to a BlackBerry? For me, it's Research In Motion's iconic QWERTY keypad, or at the very least the modified "SureType" keyboard, which crams a couple of letter keys on each number key. So it's a little jarring to get a load of RIM's new, pumped-up Pearl […]
