I find this very hard to get a clean note with instruments since I cant sing and I have a rather whiskey voice :s.

Actually, if you are a musician, this is a great way to put together an idea when on the road or without your equipment. I use a similar program, but it’s just a multitrack recorder. It’s called StudioApp. But this almost beats it…

It’s not about making a full production song, it’s about recording the thought before it passes. You don’t know how many songs are lost because there was nothing to archive it when it was thought of. Most the time, just a pen and paper don’t do a thought justice.

  22. hofnerjoe says:

Many years ago, I was talking with a fellow musician friend about what the state of Rock n’ Roll would be like (regarding technology) in the 21st century. We both thought it possible that music played by REAL musicians would be replaced by electronic devices that are sold off the shelves of any store, and that anyone could be a rock star…no talent needed. I shudder to think that day is here??!! God help us now!!

  23. hydiggler says:

Too involving. May be cool to do once or twice, but that’s about it. Well, unless you’re a huge nerd of course.

The iPhone is – if I may say so – one of the greatest mobile revolutions of the past decade. More and more, mobile phones seem to materialize out of our wildest dreams. Because of the tight integration of third-party applications, you can do nearly everything with your device — be it gaming, working, fooling around, and of course phoning. However, because of the sheer vastness of possibilities, not a lot of people are using their iPhone to the full extent of its capabilities. As of such, a lot of great features are missed on the users.

  • New app promises wireless sync for iPhone — if Apple approves it (Ben Patterson)
Ben Patterson - Zune users have been able to sync their music and videos over Wi-Fi for years now — not so for patrons of the iPhone or iPod Touch, which can only sync up files via USB tethering. That said, an enterprising developer is looking to change the game when it comes to wireless iPhone and/or iPod Touch syncing ... if Apple will let him, that is. […]
  • BlackBerry's new Pearl 3G goes old-school with 14-button keypad (Ben Patterson)
Ben Patterson - What's the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to a BlackBerry? For me, it's Research In Motion's iconic QWERTY keypad, or at the very least the modified "SureType" keyboard, which crams a couple of letter keys on each number key. So it's a little jarring to get a load of RIM's new, pumped-up Pearl […]
