How to share your DVD clips or videos to upload to YouTube?

Many people keep bunch of DVDs in home or videos on PC and most of them encounter the same problem that is how to make those DVD clips or videos which can be uploaded to blogs, YouTube, My space.

Before we get to solve this problem let’s have a very short talk about FLV format. It is the most popular format for online video. Because of it is in good quality and smaller size. So, our problem now is to find a good converter to converter your DVD or video to flv format.

I had tried different way to solve this issue and I got an easy way to done those converting jobs. Now I would like to share it and here we go. Just three steps you can get an flv format video for uploading purpose.
Step1: get a convterter tool and input file

Get  free download a Wondershare DVD converter

Install it as any other software and running it. Get your DVD or video ready.
Ok, if you start with a DVD, click “Add DVD” at top left (#1)
Or if you start with a video, click “Add Video” at top left (#2)

Step 2: Select output settings

The second step is to select output settings. Here it is necessary for you to select the following output settings.

1. Select output format
Select your desired output format from the categorized output formats list in “Profile” drop-down list, and specify the output directory to save your converted files in “Output” drop-down list. Here I select iPod Touch MPEG-4 as output format for my iPod Touch.

Tips: for advanced setting. You can set the related video/audio parameters (resolution, frame rate, video encoder, bit rate, sample rate and audio channel etc) in “Settings” window by clicking .

 

Step 3: Start to convert

After everything is set up simply hit the Start button. A conversion progress screen will be shown during the process where you can preview the video. Users of slower systems will probably want to disable the preview as it uses more CPU cycles.
After converting, click find “target bottom”  for destination file. Now you are ready to upload your DVD clips or videos to upload to YouTube.

 

Tips to edit DVD video:
Tip 1: Merge multi-files into one

You can merge multiple files into one file. Check all files you want to merge and then click “Merge”, the selected files will be merged into one file.

 

Tip 2: Clone a file
You can make a backup of one file. Check the file you want to make backup and click “Clone”, then you will get another file the same as your original file.

 

Tip 3: Clip one file into multiple segments

You can clip one file into multiple segments. Select one file and click , you will get the following “Clip” page. Click to start a new clip. Click to mark the beginning of the new clip and to mark the end of the new clip.

Tip 4. Crop video
You can resize the video file after clicking “Crop” in “Video Edit” window. You can get the desired size of video for your player by selecting aspect ratio, drag cropping frame or setting the related parameters.
Tip 5: Adjust video effect
If you want to make some special effect to the video, you can realize it by setting brightness, contrast and saturation etc. You will get an intuitive preview of the video effect before and after adjusting with two real-time previewing panes.
 

Tip 6: Edit watermark
If you want to get a personalized video by adding some information to it as watermark, you can realize it by adding either text or image information. You are also allowed to resize the added text/image.
Tip 7: Capture picture from DVD or video
You can capture pictures from the DVD or video by clicking the “snapshot” button in the preview screen and save them as picture files.
