hey willdta, how can i fix an ipod with the sleep/wake button messed up? because it is stucked, like the image of ‘slide to power off’ pops up anytime like if im holing the sleep/wake button and that does not help me when i try to put it in dfu mode, it just restarts and i really want to jailbreak it. and thanks for the video it does help.

if Not, then how do i get that if redsn0w is not working for my iPod Touch 1G 3.1.1??
i figured out the solution. so what you have to do is restore to the original 3.0 firmware, then jailbreak it with redsn0w 0.8. after its jailbroken, then shift+ restore to the custom 3.1 ipsw and it works
and also it does not need to be put in DFU mode, just regular shift+ restore. let me know if it works for you guys, worked flawlessy for me
