Different Ways To Delete Visited Websites On Your Computer

There are several different ways you can go about to delete visited websites in your internet browser. For each online session your internet browser will save all the sites you visit. By having this each time you revisit that site it will take you to the webpage much faster. But there are several disadvantages to having this information saved in your temporary internet files.

The main options you can use to delete these sites include going directly through your internet browser. The actual function will be located in different spots depending on your internet browser but if you’re not certain, check out it’s help function and you’ll soon find out where to go. For those that use Internet Explorer you can find this function under the tools menu option whereas in the Privacy section to be found under Tools, Options.

There is another option for deleting these saved sites and you can do this directly through your hard drive, normally labeled C. In your computer right click on the hard drive and then chose the properties function. Underneath the pie chart will be the option to clean up your hard drive. You can clean everything up or specifically select to delete your offline web pages, temporary files and temporary internet files.

It is also possible to delete any of the saved internet site information through the properties of the hard drive. You want to go right click on your hard drive. You want to open up the properties tab which is normally located underneath the usage cart normally in a pie shapes showing your disk usage. You want to clean up the hard drive and delete the temporary files, offline web pages and temporary internet files. Thee are options to select the file to be deleted.

There are also many different types of special software that will specifically delete these visits. You can automatically set up the software to remove your saved internet sites. Some of the files that are deleted include records, UserData records, index.dat files, cookies, cache, auto complete and history files. By regularly cleaning up your internet history you can minimize the danger of anyone getting any important information.

Deleting these files will also make your computer run faster and add to your computers security. These temporary files do take up a lot of room and you should clean them out frequently.
