What is First Aid all about?

You First Aid profession gives you the ability to use bandages which restore your health or can be used to remove certain poison effects. You will need this skill when you receive any kind of damage. As mentioned before it can be used both in PVP and PVE. 

How do I use bandages?

You can create bandages and these can be found in your inventory. You will need to target yourself or any friendly player and then click on a bandage. If you move the effect a bandage has will stop and keep in mind that if you are healing another person, he/she needs to be in range. Once bandaged a player will receive a debuff cannot receive a bandage from someone else or bandage himself for 60 seconds. You will be able to see the “Recently Bandaged” debuff. The needed materials

Bandages are made from various types of cloth. During your time in the game you will come across different kinds of cloth. From any of these you will be able to make bandages. Cloth drops from humanoids and it is the most common drop you will encounter during leveling and therefore getting your First Aid skill to the maximum won’t be a problem. If you didn’t level your First Aid before and hit level 80 without it you can always grind or buy the cloth. How to begin?

You can begin with leveling First Aid with the help of a trainer. They can also be found in the starting areas of every race. There are no requirements on training the First Aid profession, just the starting fee which is 10 copper. First you will need linen cloth to make in order to make linen bandages and by making these you will be able to reach level 75. After that the next skill is 150, then 225 and so on. The FA trainers can be found in the cities of Azeroth, Outland and Northrend. If a certain trainer cannot teach you the desired skill, he will direct you any other appropriate trainer for that skill level.

Is there any First Aid quest available?

Yes, there is. The quest Triage should be completed if you want to be an Apprentice in First Aid. The objective of this quest is to save fifteen patients before some die with the use of special Triage Bandages.
